While Im starting It will start cranking over then kick back really hard then continue cranking and sometime fires up. I have adjusted the valves twice. Once It gets to running it runs great. It kick back so hard It broke the starter gear. Another on way. And the flywheel clicks when turning. 13 HP Tecumseh

I would say you got some loose magnets clicking around up under the flywheel, check the key while you have it off.

Thanks u were right It was a broken magnet the key is fine can i leave the magnet off or will It damage something.

It may charge up enough to keep your battery up, or you could jb weld it back.

But it won't damage anything.

No, leaving it off won't damage anything, just not give you full charging.

Yeah, I think many of us are probably done with this long drawn out ruse.....
