Got a brand new pb770 today......made my br600 look like a toy

I really doubt that it makes the BR 600 look like a toy. Considering the spec's are virtually the same I doubt there's much difference betwen the two other than your imagination. I mean really your talking about two units with CFM's above 700, with air velocity's above 200mph and motor sizes nearly the same, the only real difference is the size of the gas tank and the weight of the units with the Stihl being lighter by two lbs and I think that difference comes from the amount of gas the Echo holds.

I also watched a comparison video (which didn't prove much) and I read some of the comments and a few people said that the new Stihl Magnums are NOT as good as the older ones, and this was said my a mechanic and a professional. But other people love them. :confused2:

As you said the comparison video didn't prove much because there's not much to prove. People make comments about equipment but the comments they make are not based on facts or spec's but made to justify there added expense for a piece of equipment they want. You have to remember that peoples wants always over run there needs. I know mine do  It's human nature. The difference between the two units is approximately 50 cfm which when your running the machine you can't tell the difference in and the same with the air velocity, I mean can you really tell the difference between 204 and 201 mph, I seriously doubt it. Both machines are even running approximately the size engine right at 64cc. The thing is the equipment spec's don't lie but peoples imaginations tend to run a muck.

I have a 770t and my buddy has both a stihl br600 and a redmax 8500. I will tell you that the motor on the echo is the smoothest and more powerful then the stihl but not by a lot but enough you can definetely notice. The redmax has the most hp and air blowing but is very loud, vibrates , not as comfortable as stihl or echo and definetely not as a refinded machine. It s just ok
Only high point of the redmax is power but everything else is just so so.
Echo has smooth motor, comfortable, powerfull, and no valves to adjust.
stihl is nice unit, not as powerful as echo or redmax, comfortable, lighter then echo by a little bit, and of corse gotta adjust valves.

Good Purchase!!
