Ok so I have an echo pb200 that I believe is a 2005 model. Ok so at first I thought the idle speed was too low, but that did work. Basically what happens is that you can run it at full throttle and it will go back to an idle and run at an idle fine for about 15 seconds, but it slowly decreases in speed until it stalls after that. Also if you try to give it more throttle after it gets to the point where it's idling so slow that it's barely running it just boggs down and won't really want to go back to full throttle. Then most of the time if you let it stall it won't want to restart. Any ideas? I'm thinking it just needs a carb rebuild since it is 10 years old. It does need the primer bulb replaced cause it's rotten and about to leak. Not sure if that will cause this problem. Any ideas?

Have you tried cleaning the spark arrestor screen on your muffler, sounds like it's plugged. You may also want to think about changing the air and gas filters if that hasn't been done.

I runs fine at full throttle though. Unless the restriction is enough to stop it only at idle when their is low exhaust flow. No I haven't checked it yet. It's easy to get to though so I'll definitely look at it. The fuel lines were replaced a few years back due to a recall and the rubber grommet swelling up. It's all swollen up again though.

Guessing either exhaust port, spark arrestor screen clean both still doesnt work I would replace carb, air filter. Fuel filter, and carb (not as expensive as you think)

I think he basically needs to buy a tune up kit and install it, It will contain all of the above along with fuel lines. Clean the spark arrestor screen and he will be fine for another year.

It was the primer bulb. It was cracked causing it to suck air. Now all it needs is a new fuel line which I ordered. The grommet swells up and it pops out of the hole. I already had this done under a recall and it's doing it again. I would have thought they would have changed the design and used a different rubber. None of my other echo equipment has this problem. Then again I guess once every 5 years isn't too bad. The spark arrestor was as clean as can be. I've noticed on blowers that they don't get that gooey oily mess on the exhaust like the string trimmers do. Probably cause they run full throttle all the time.
