I browse eBay pretty regular, and it amazes me how much some sellers ask for parts for these old Lawnboys. I've bought, and sold on eBay, but I try to price items to where the average person, like me, with a hobby of working on these things can afford. You have to be very careful when looking for a certain part because there may be huge differences in the price. I was able to get a nos mower mounted de-thatcher for $13. Someone else was selling the same thing for $80! Just an example. I've seen refurbished mowers going for 3 and 4 hundred dollars. As much as I love Lawnboys, they're still just a lawn mower. I would question the judgement of someone giving that kind of $ for one. I'll take my $10 to $20 fixer uppers any day. I guess I'm venting, but I just don't want anyone to get burned while trying to enjoy a hobby.
