Hello,
I have a John Deere E180 with just shy of 50 hours on it, and while mowing last week it cut off and wouldn't restart. The battery is good, as was the 20 amp fuse. I checked the brake/clutch switch, and jumpered the terminals, and still, nothing. It will not turn over. I checked the blade shut off button, and it and the connector were slightly melted. I replaced the switch, and no change. If I jump the terminals on the junction block/solenoid, it will turn over. Ignition switch possibly? Solenoid? Thanks!
EDIT: I changed the fuse, which had appeared good, and it fired up and ran...for a minute, and then shut off. The fuse blew.
