I'm a previous renter and a new home owner. I never had to take care of my lawn, it was included in the rent.
I bought a home with about 3 acres of land. I know I need a rider but should I get a push too?

I would say yes too. Do you have trees in your yard? If so you would want a push mower to get under them. I don't know about the size though.

You always need a pushmower to do trimming, under bushes, and in corners that you can;t get at with a rider.

I disagree. I have a riding mower and three broken down push mowers. I don't use the push mowers (obviously) and haven't in several years. My yard is set up to be cut with the riding and a weed eater. It's up to your preference.

I've got some trees and a lot of flower beds to mow around. I bet I will use a push mower too. Thanks for the tips! I don't care much for weed eaters.
