DIY 3 point hitch

I have a john deere 314 and I want a 3 point hitch. I like to build things and my question is. Has anyone built there own hitch and if so could you post the measurements and a pic.

With out a rear PTO what is the point?

It has a rear shaft. I new to all this, but my train of thought would be it runs something like a tiller. Maybe I'm wrong about how a tiller would mount.

Unless you're trying to show off I would stick with the sleeve hitch.
