Hey guys. Friday I'm fixing to purchase a grass catcher for my 7084, the chute and bag are there but it doesn't have the support rod, I looked on ebay and no luck doe's anyone have one that they can give me the dimensions on so I can make my own? Thanks!

How many different bags did they make?

I am discovering that much to my chagrin, that not all bags are the same.

I say this because I'd imagine that not all bag rods are the same as well.

I purchase an OMC original side bag for my mower (eBay) and was very happy with my deal (the zipper on my old one was rotted) then it became apparent that although it seemed the same, that possibly there were different dimensions. This new bag, when it gets about half full, the weight in it makes it pull away from the chute when I pull the mower backwards.

It is just strange, but it seems that I may need to adjust my arm to make this new bag work with this mower/chute/bag setup.

Well not sure how many side bag options there that would fit a 7084. Off the top of my head I would guess maybe 3 different options for a 7084 side bag setup. Leaf bag, regular with wire frame flange(shown in pic below), and regular with plastic frame flange. Two different rods, one like the pic below that mounts in hole in deck and the other that mounts at the handle joint. You also have a rear bag option to. I'm guessing that the upper pic is the one that you are working on?

The bag rod below was used in the early to mid 60's and will not work on your 7084, this one is a 1966 and you can see that it used 2 holes in the deck for mount and it doesn't fit through the RH handle bracket.
