I just hate mowing the damm lawn.
I cut the lawn 3 times this year sofar and i wish it was winter again.
It is every time a 2 hr bone jarring experience over that speedbumpy 3 acre lawn.
I don't mind doing a job,but lawn mowing is like working the assembly line,...I hate repeat work,.. that is only good for brain dead zombies.

I seriously would've fenced it off and put goats in it if they would not carry a disease that is deadly for My bison

You prob have the tractors and attachments to smooth out your lawn so it's not so bone jarring. And Its not repeat work if you CHANGE DIRECTIONS.
And maybe you need a better mower and then you'd enjoy it more. You probably hate your mowers too.
Don't be a hater.
Outside, fresh air, sunshine. Don't get much better.

You got to be kidding:rolleyes:

Exactly:thumbsup:,...why disturb all that with noise, smoke and anger.
It's far more enjoyable to fork a horse and watch the grass grow and the buffalo graze.

I have my mowers and other equipment cause i need them to make this ranch work,...not because i like them or like to work with them,...I don't mind fixing them though:wink:

Ok then.
Just don't mow then. Your out in the sticks enough that it doesn't matter anyway.

But if i don't mow my wife starts nagging and i hate a nagging wife more than mowing.
She won't mind mowing it herself,..if i smooth out the lawn first:rolleyes:
its a cruel world ain't it....

I understand this mindset very well. That is: you being a farmer or "rancher" or one who has otherwise made or makes his living through an agricultural means, expects a return in dollars or "saleable products" from his work in the field.
Mowing the grass produces no such return, there is very little monetary return on your investment of time and money. The yard looks better, to most people, and the grass in the yard is much better than the alternative. So there is a return but it's difficult to calculate how it adds up in dollars and cents.
If you don't get a lot of satisfaction out seeing a freshly cut lawn then it realy seems like the time is not well spent.
I get it, and although I don't hate mowing, I've often questioned how I could make better use of the space now dedicated to "just grass". If I didn't have a mower with a 35 hp 4 cylinder diesel, able to cut 5' at a pass, I would like it a lot less.

My career requires me to be thinking and problem solving constantly. I am mentally exhausted at the end of the day. I love to mow. Clears my head, gets me fresh air and I can think without being interrupted. My lawn is also less than ideal for mowing (inclined and uneven) but it doesn't bother me in the least. I would trade a good day in the yard for the best day at work anytime!

I think I'll stick to helping others. I'm pretty good at it.

Assembly line work wouldn't do it for me! I suppose you could hire someone if you dislike it so much.

I'll take you up on that.
Just get me out there once a week and make sure the mowers full of fuel.
I mow for a living and love it. For me another day on the job is another day in the park.
It's like working in the yard just super sized and with better equipment.
