I am currently installing this engine in a 725 Hopper mower.
There appears to be two temperature sensors at the thermostat. One must be for engine temperature. What would the second be for? Turn on an electric radiator fan, or something to do with the glow plugs?

I need more info like what mower it came off of or if the engine has more info.
I got back info from the previous owner. It came from a Toro 3500D mower. I was able to find a wiring diagram so most of the issues solved. It was quite a project but the engine is in and running.
One last issue. The alternator is different. There were two wires to the permanent magnet alternator. I am not using either. The alternator is charging, voltage is 14. However the battery light does not go out. Any one no a cure for this?
