got a sv740 kohler engine and want to bypass the speed advance module because the engine won't start or if someone has wiring diagram of the module color code thanks

Post the spec number from the engine model number tag. Some of those engines have a SAM to MDI ignition conversion kit available. You get two new modules, and some wire fittings to adapt to the old wiring harness, and then you can throw the SAM away.

Looks like the kit that you need is the 32 707 01-s DSAI to MDI module kit. Looks like the kit is $102.
