Help.. I have a 2012 Cub Cadet LTX 1046 with a Kohler Courage 22hp engine. Is there an easy way to remove the shroud from this engine? After removing all screws and the shroud was free, the genius CC design of the fuel tank bump out right above the shroud prevents it from being lifted off of the engine. I tried uploading a picture several times with no success. Thanks

I have a LTX1040, uses the same design, i've always been able to pull my shroud of pretty easy.
upload your pictures to an image host, such as Postimages or imgbb and post the link here.

On some CC it is necessary to remove the fuel tank as the engine is larger and you can not remove the engine shroud without removing the tank. Sometimes I get lucky and only need to remove the fuel tank hold down bracket so the tank can be move around.

I know this is especially true for the CC LTX1046M (Not labeled this but is via the actual model number from the serial number tag).

Yes, the engine is larger and I was thinking that I would need to remove the fuel tank hold down bracket. I'll try that. Thanks

My bad, i was thinking the 22hp was still in the Single cylinder category. Shroud definelty is bigger.
