I keep throwing the belt when I lower the deck. Does the pulley on the engine shaft go up and down as the deck is raised and lowered?? Can you send me pictures of this shaft/pulley araingment?

Install the right belt, buy it from the dealer.

No it remains at a fixed location... the proper belt along with good idler pulleys, will allow the deck pulley to raise and lower with no problem to the drive belt... :smile:KennyV

Die you have the deck belt on the lower V of the double pulley on the engine ?
Tranny belt should be on first and deck belt 2nd
