Craftsman r110 blades wont engage

I was mowing with my r110 and everything was going fine. I disengaged the blades to go to a different section of my yard and now the blades wont engage at all. Any suggestions on what i need to check and where it might be?

Please post your units model and serial numbers located under the seat. I really, really hate guessing as to which unit you have.

Check for any debris on the deck maybe there is something like a stick that is preventing it from engaging.

Sounds like a broken pto cable or cable end or dismounted end meaning it's not in the cradle that holds the sheath so the cable is just moving with the sheath so it can't retract. 946-04802A
