2014 Craftsman R1000, #247.290000 - Runs rough when it gets hot after about 20 minutes then quits. Will restart and run after it cools down, I replaced spark plug, fuel filter, ignition coil, cleaned carb, drilled a hole in the gas cap to prevent vapor lock, and tested the carb solenoid which is working. I am stumped!

runs rough, runs bad , sounds funny , not working proper.
We all know what you mean, but it is no use when trying to diagnose your problem.
You are there.
I am 16,000 km away so I really can not hear , see or smell your mower so it makes life a bit hard.
Not knowing what engine you have in your mower makes it harder still.

If it has a fuel solenoid, that could be your problem. Take it off, snip the nipple off of it. Then reinstall it.

Sounds similar to the problem I have/had? I also have a 21ho B&S engine but in a Torro...

Mine takes an hour before it stops so I can't yet be 100% sure I've fixed it yet but worth a look. Especially post #5 by Bertsmobile1.

Ah just noticed you said "coil" not "coils" so I guess your motor only has one not two coils like mine. In which case it probably doesn't have the diodes that appear to be causing the problem I had.
