Purchased Craftsman 23 HP Garden Tractor with 48" Mower from our church. It has a GTV spring assisted sleeve hitch, model 25241 installed. My problem is that the mower deck will not lower into the mowing position. The manual states that you must remove the tension on the Assist Spring, which I have done. The deck still will not lower into position, and it feels as though something solid is blocking it from doing so. Anyone out there that could possibly give me some advice?
