In the Sears direct catalog on the mower deck parts page, the call part # 6 a quill.
Is that an error? I was looking up the spindle (2) assy. part. Is it a Quill?

The parts diagram that I saw calls #6 a jackshaft assy (no longer available). Spindles go by several names such as spindle assembly, mandrel assembly, and quill assembly.

They are so hard to read the pages on that site. yes jackshaft assy is right. I need a better picture and or reference numbers to find some. I may have seen some on Ebay.
