Craftsman Garden Tractor will not start.

Have a 18 HP Craftsman Model 917.2559101, GT Twin Briggs & Stratton model #422437 Type # 1266-01 purchased in 1990.
Was running and mowing then after about 1.5 hours it stopped running. No spark or power to lights, turns over and has fuel to Carb but will not start.

You said no spark, I am assuming you pulled the plugs and check for spark. If no spark then disconnect the single wire going to the ignition module and see if you have spark. No spark replace ignition module. I have a similar thing happen several years ago when getting ready to load a customers mower for delivery. I had pulled up to the trailer and turned around to load it backwards when the engine just quit. no spark, replace module.

As I noted, the 2 head lights don't power on either... But well turn over and gets fuel.

I thought the lights were powered by the alternator not the battery on this model?

Headlights most likely powered by alternator when engine is running.
