Has anyone worked on the clutch and brake unit on this mower? The clutch plates are obsolete, anyone have a solution for a replacement? I made my own clutch plates from 3m friction sheet. The wheels drive but my brakes don't bite. I believe this tractor design drives and brakes in the same unit. Virtually impossible to find any info on the lawn tractor. Need some help.

Yes the brakes are in the same assembly. And yes the parts are NLA, Even the replacement kit is NLA now so you are SOL; unless, you can make your own parts or find an used assembly somewhere that is good.

Thanks for the reply. I made my own clutch plates. The unit drives not too bad. But the brakes don't bite like they should. I am thinking of trying a mountain bike rotor and caliper to brake. Or cover this into a go cart. What a bad design
