Corroded grass outlet on deck causing blockage.

It's a Castel Garden PAN504 TR/E.
You can see in the photo below, just above the blade, a large hole corroded/eroded in the deck.
Grass gets stuck here, and builds out eventually blocking the whole outlet.
I want to repair it by riveting sheet metal to the existing, cut to the way it should be.
But I'm unsure of how it should be. Should it be very close to the top of the blade?
Does anyone have a similar lawnmower they could post a photo of, to show me the profile of this part as it should be?
