I have a Cub Cadet Z-Force S46 with a 20HP Kohler Courage Pro engine. I'm trying to change the oil and air filter and running into some confusion as to which parts to use.

On the engine stamp, it says the model is SV710, so I bought an air filter and oil filter for that model. However, the air filter that I bought is only half as tall as the one currently on my mower. The one I need looks like this: Moved Permanently ... Is this because the engine is labeled "Professional" so it has extra capacity air filter? Searching for "SV710 premium or extra capacity air filter" only results in the smaller-sized air filters. What gives?

Also, when I look for the service manual on Kohler's website, it says this model was discontinued (SV710). Any idea why? Was there some problems with it?

You need part number 32 083 06-s or 32 883 06-s1 which comes with the precleaner. That is one of the reason why having all the engine information is required.

You probably picked up part number 32 083 03-s or 32 883 03-s1 which is the shorter filter.
