Can anyone tell me what the compression is suppose to be on a B&S single cylinder 21 HP Model 931877 540cc Intek with XRD?

Briggs doesn't list compression readings because of the compression release doesn't allow for an accurate reading. Leakdown testing is the preferred and more accurate test for engine health.

You have your model number wrong, it will be 33----. Compression will probably read 90 PSI or so but not really be accurate as said above.
