I have an Iron Eagle 2560 the seems to slip in deep grass. I think it is the clutch. Any suggestions on clutch brand? They are pretty spendy. pn 500067

Not saying it can't be the clutch but more likely it is the belt. I'd check to make sure the belt is properly tensioned and see if it has signs it's been slipping such as spin burns or cracks or if it's hardened before I went and replaced the clutch. Or just slow down and feed the machine slower.

Edit: What's the evidence that makes you think it's slipping?

Clutch seems to be turning off and on intermintently. Wire looks good. I never have tried to hang a meter on it. Like it is getting hot and opening up.

You may just need to adjust the air gap on it.
