Okay. So I'm trying to replace a drive belt in the dark on a 2009 craftsman lts2000 917.289081. I ran it around on of the guides wrong n when I tested it. It slipped n got hung up above the clutch /brake pulley. So I had to loosen it causing the spring or something to sprung. Pulley came off. Now next day I'm trying to reset it correctly. I can get the pulley assembly back together but it doesn't want to move. There must be something I have to depressed to make it spring loaded again?? Thank you for your help

Visit http://www.searspartsdirect.com/ and enter the correct model number. You will be able to pull up the diagram for the deck and put the belt on correctly. The tensioner pulley on many of Craftsman decks tend to rust making them unmovable. Pull off the deck (for ease) and spray down the idler pulley slider with PB Blaster. Let is set for about 10 min then use a block of wood and a dead blow hammer to move it back and forth until it frees up. I have had to do this on several decks. Once you get it to move at all, keep soaking it down with PB Blaster. You can use WD40 but PB Blaster works better. Sorry, I thought you were referring to the mower deck but if the drive tensioner is not acting correctly you could do the same thing.
