Hello folks!
My first post and hoping someone could help me out? Was out mowing the lawn (have a walk behind Toro mower) and there is a loud clunking noise when I mow. Almost sounds as if it is 2 metals grinding? Grass still cuts pretty even, with clumps of grass everywhere. Does anyone know what could cause the problem? By the way, the mower is only about a year and half old..

Thanks for the help!!

disconnect spark plug and turn blade by hand to see if blade is loose or is hitting something. could be loose blade, bent deck in one spot or bent blade or crankshaft.

I'll take a wild guess and say as the deck flexes a bit, the end of the rotating blade contacts it. Just my guess. You may be able to turn the thing on its side and see if there is something obvious.
