I just received a new carburetor for my Briggs & Stratton 8250 storm responder generator. It came with several attachments for carburetor control. The one that's currently on the carburetor is not the correct control for my application. How do I remove that control and put the new one on? I don't want to damage it. I've attached some pictures to give you an idea what I'm mumbling about 🤫

If you post a valid engine model and type plus the PN you ordered and if it was an after market or OEM would help.

In your previous thread you posted invalid engine info.

Not everyone,. If you really knew what you’re doing you would know that the experienced techs on this forum need all engine numbers so we don’t have to guess. DIY guys like you want exact answers with as little information as possible. Bad mouthing techs like Star isn’t going to get you anywhere, but grief. If you don’t know how to disassemble a carb you shouldn’t be working on it. Provide the correct numbers or go see your local mechanic.

everybody else understood what I was talking about other than you, huh
Hmmm I wonder how they made sense of 0304-30 b - 01 as nothing shows up even on a partial number search

And if I just using 0304-

I don't guess at things; unless, it is an educated guess and even that is questionable at times.

Hello P.,

You should have continued with your previous thread/posting where you left off that you going to order a new carburetor.

At last count, you are dealing with 1 machine and have at least 3 separate thread/postings.

It creates confusion.

These assorted choke levers basically pull straight up to come off, then you align the one that fits the best with the air cleaner backing plate and reassemble.

Old Proverb: "You can't switch horse in the middle of a stream without getting your feet wet".
