Carburetor issues

I am looking for some answers to common issues with carburetors. Here is my situation:

1. Fuel getting to bowl.
2. Runs fine when spraying carb cleaner directly into the carb.
3. Has good compression (100psi).
4. Fuel just wont move from the bowl up through the tube into the engine.

I took it apart, had clear openings through the main jet as well as the other jet with a long tube attached to it on top of the carb (not sure what its called)

Lets start with a model number of your engine. Too many engines with too many variations to speculate what could be wrong.

Haze Do you have a Honda Engine ?? The way you are talking about your carb with a main jet and fuel nozzle it sounds like a Honda carb.....


Did you take the jet and nozzle out to clean all those tiny holes in it ???? A Honda carb also has a idle pilot jet on it also, instead of a screw adjustment........ That has to be taken out also.......
