6.5 hp craftsman 21" rear discharge. Just started hunting two weeks ago. Checked plug, air filter, carb linkage..all seems ok.

Most likely needs the carb cleaned. Probably got a piece of debris (dirt, dust, stale fuel varnish) in the jet and causing the engine to run lean.

Check primer bulb & fuel line for cracks sucking air

i recomend sea foam in all engines i use it daily at work in all of our equiptment (gas tank and crankcase)
