Hi. This is probably a dumb question, but here goes. While repairing my carburetor primer bulb, I spotted a white fitting for lack of better words looks like a small vacuum line fitting off the side of the carburator. What is its purpose and more importantly, is something to be connected to it? I attached a photo and the part in question is white.
This a B/S engine model 09P602-0139-F1 on a Remington push mower

That white fitting is for a remote primer bulb. But the problem is the remote bulb doesn't exist, and to make things more confusing the primer hose that connect to that fitting is actually listed in the parts diagram.
I think the purpose is that carb is designed for multi use and one of those uses may be on snowthrowers were it is not unusual to have a choke carb with an auxillary primer for cold weather starting.
