Hello trying to find a part# that i can order a lower grass chute tube for my craftsman model# 917.273022. Whats odd is that theres no series# on the side of the lawn mower hood, for example GT, or 2000 3000 or 4000 series...The manual only says EZ3 but i think that references the deck. Ive checked sears direct and it says part unavailable...theres got to be a replacement....its a 46 inch deck with 3 blades. Im going nuts trying to find the chute..ive bought a couple of used lower tubes only to find out they dont fit....it someone knows the right part# i can order off ebay or amazon that would be awesome...i have tried some local shops but they are clueless leaving me the only option to order online...thanks for any help. The chute thats in the picture is the wrong one and doesnt fit right.

Try looking for a chute that fits a Husqvarna 46” deck, as your unit was manufactured by Husqvarna.

It looks like the original 157788 superceded to 532166883 which is also NLA.

My local Craigslist here in Maryland has people with baggers for sale. Here's one.

You can buy this adaptor from CycloneRake and maybe fit it into the tubes you have. It cost $119.
Also, sometimes Craigslist under the FarmandGarden section has baggers for sale.

I had the same problem with my lower chute. I kept buying chutes and returning them until I found one that kind of fitted to the deck. But then, when I put the other chute on it became short of going into the bagger. So I bought this sheet metal and wrapped it around the chute and forced it inside the bagger. It works really good.

Hi Don, do you have a model# for the lower chute that was a close fit? I like the tube modification you did, and i wouldnt have any issue doing something like that myself. I just need to find the right lower chute, id prefer to order something online.

Unfortunately I don't. I'm trying to remember where I bought it. It was a long time ago. Amazon does sell bottom chutes but there's no guarante they fit.
