Buying A Simplicity Push Mower

Are there any known reasons why I should not buy a new Simplicity SP RWD Mower SPVH21700 Briggs 7 TP (21"), with the 700 Series Briggs engine? I know they are now discontinued, but other than that, are there any issues that would possibly prevent this mower from lasting several years with normal maintenance?

Many thanks....

I have not heard of any problems with that mower. If the price was right, I would go for it.

The Simplicity line is part of Briggs and Stratton, together with Snapper, Snapper Pro, Murray and Brute. I would think there would be good support for it even though it is a discontinued model.

Appreciate the feedback, gentlemen! I had read a few negative things about the Briggs 700 Series, and just wondered if there was a real issue with that engine or not. My current MTD/Briggs has seen well over 15 years of use, and is in need of a rebuild for motor and deck. I will miss having the throttle on a new mower, but it is time to move on.
