Local Ferris Dealer has a Demo 2014 Ferris 2000 with 29 EFI Kohler, spring frame suspension system and 61 inch deck. Unit has 64 hours but comes with full warranty and priced at $8400. Unit was $11000. We tried it on a fairly dry hill side and the 24x9 tires slid sideways. Our older Exmark with 12X24 tires never did that. Ferris does not make bigger tire for that unit.
Second unit we looked at, have not demo it, is a 2017 Z210 with suspension seat but ferris did away with the spring suspension for this unit. Kawasaki 801 engine and hydro 5400 Trans Axles instead of individual wheel pumps on the Ferris IS2000 model. 24x12 tires, same gas tank, etc. $7850 after a $450 Rebate and zero interest for 4 year payment plan. Warranty and payment plan is the same on both units.
Which one would you pick? We are thinking about giving up some suspension comfort to go with the larger more stable larger tires 24x12 on the Z210 and less money.
