I fell on my mower (don't ask) and broke the speed lever on my HRX217HZA. I ordered a new one (54311-VE0-J50) and I should have it soon. Just how hard is it to replace it? Thanks for any advice. Regards, Alan

I have no knowledge of what you are trying to do but I can say this. Take lots of pictures as you take it apart. It will greatly improve reassembly.

Got it done. It was tricky with collars, springs and pins. It took me longer than expected but works great.
