I have ybsxs.2051hf 5.5 hp tiller engine. It seized from gas getting into the oil. I was succcessful in turning the flywheel to free it but now flywheel will not manually turn a complete revolution without stopping, either direction. likely cause? Thanks in advance.

Pull the spark plug(s) and manually try to turn the engine over. If you had gas in the oil it must have leaked down through the cylinder and the engine might be hydro-statically locked up.

Thanks. Yes sparkplug is out and I can see movement when I turn. Something stops it.

Engine probably shot.

Sounds like you dropped a valve or the there is something seized or broken inside. Might be time to tear it down and take a look.
