I recently acquired a free Troy-Bilt 21" mulching mower. It is missing the blade, adapter, and bolt. My question is, are all the shafts on these Briggs Quantum engines the same diameter? This one is 1". Lowe's sell a MTD adapter kit for 6 bucks, but I'm not sure it would fit...
Ok, I've determined the Lowe's kit won't work, it's too small. I've narrowed it down to two part numbers, 748-04082 and 748-0377C. The 748-0377C says 'if equipped' next to it in the parts diagram. How do I know which one is correct? They physically look like the same part.
Sorry I'm so late getting back, for some reason my notification emails are still going to my Gmail spam folder, so I forget about threads easily. I actually just sold this mower today. It turned out that the 748-04082 (1") was the correct part. The model number of this mower was 11A-436M011. I have attached a picture for future reference. :thumbsup:
