[ briggs] do the 2 cups go on the valve stems or push rods?

Briggs 311777 0209e1
It is a 13.5 hp ohv motor.
Do the two little cups go between the rocker and valve stem or on the outside end of the push rods?

The pushrod ends are different shapes. One is round and the other is oblong.

I see there is a Briggs sub heading. Next time.

I can't tell by the diagram which rod is which.
It does look like the cups go on the valve stems though

Lash caps go on the end of the valves.

Valve stems, plus it looks like you intake push rod, aluminum, is worn a lot. I can’t tell how much from the pic, but the way it looks I would replace it.
