My son and I want to rebuild and older 5hp B&S flathead when he comes home from school. Any recommendations on suppliers?

There's not full "engine kit" made for this engine. A gasket set will have all the seals and gaskets. Other parts would be individually

You can go to various small engine sites and gather the parts individually. Parts tree.com, Jack's small engine and e-replacement parts.com are pretty good sites. Even Briggs and Stratton.com might still have some parts available.
