My lawnmower backfired and quit running. It is only 3 years old. I replaced the magneto coil and the carburetor. I have great spark, (I used a tester). Even if I spray starting fluid in the carb, or behind the plug, nothing!

dropped valve push rod maybe model, type and code from engine would help us narrow down the possible causes for your problem.

With good spark, and fuel, that just leaves either compression problems, or timing issues like a sheared flywheel key. Also may want to check the intake pipe. There has been cases where they have cracked.
