I have a Toro TimeMaster 30" walkbehind with a Briggs 875.
Had an issue with idle engine speed jumping up. No impact to the carb or such.
Took it in and the carb was replaced under warranty.
Now the issue is when the engine is loaded when the blades are engaged or engine shut off it has an internal rattle.
I checked it out and it appears that the govenor is hitting something internally every revolution which causes the external governor shaft and linkage to jump. If I rotate the flywheel manually you can see and feel the govenor linkage hit something and jump.
It seems not to happen as much when cold however is noticeable when warmed up.
The repair shop cannot seem to "see" the issue.
Any thoughts or opinions would be really appreciated.
