I have a simplicity courier z turn with a 24 hp v twin briggs and it has a problem we’re it won’t start after using for about 40 min to an hour. I am thinking that it is the carb fuel solenoid going out or maybe the ignition coils but i don’t think both of the coils would go out at same time. idk really some help would be appreciated thanks
Also i would put the model number but it is raining outside currently
Normally they either work or they don't. I snip the plunger off mine, never have a hard start condition again. Or you can get a threaded plug to replace the solenoid. I run an inline fuel shutoff valve. Cut the gas off a minute prior to finishing mowing. Easy as pie.
most common cause of these symptoms is floating debris in the fuel tank forming a plug in the fuel outlet while the mower is running then floating away when the engine is stopped .
Quick test is to spray a SMALL amount of carb cleaner or starting fluid down the carb throat the instant it stops
If it fires right up again that confirms a fuel starvation situtation .
Next most common is a bad magneto
Test for that is to check for spark the instant it stops
Either burn the fingers or use an inline red spark tester
