I have a M145-97TC and it is munching through brake rods on the cutting deck. I must have to remove the bits and replace it every 20 hours it feels like. The deck is serviced and has been balanced.
The rod is labelled 92 or part no 583514701 on this image
The vibration is cutting through the hook end in the hole on the brake arm part marked at 89
I was thinking if I put a rubber grommet in the hole, would that soften the vibration and make the rod last longer? Or does anyone have a better idea to stop my seemingly infinite need to drop the deck off every other week...
