I purchased a la140 mower in good condition for 500$ TD .has a replacement 27hp engine complete new front end and tires. I never hear anything good about this model. Reason for purchase was the new motor. Question is is it worth keeping and using given the trans problems that plague this model.

If its worth keeping is do you need it or not. Seeing it has a replacement engine is the thing I would worry about, what kind of job did the person do replacing it? I sure have seen some cob jobs out there.

Its a new 27hp motor b/s why I bought it I need the motor on a ztr I have .can't help but look at the fact I'm going to tear something apart that works .but I don't need a riding mower .
