Bolens shift on the go stuck in high

I have a Bolens shift on the go. Has a lever on the dash which you push up or down, all the way down is parking brake. Has speeds one thru 6. Seems to be just a cable that must run to the tranny. Seems to be stuck in high, pushing up or down doesnt change speed at all.

The speed control is controlled with a rod type linkage that goes down a cam type mechanism that limits how far the clutch pedal is allowed to move. Either linkage has came loose, broke someplace or the variable speed pulley either between the engine and the transmission or on some the variable pulley is mounted to the transmission. If that double variable pulley sticks the speed won't change. So that is two things to check.
