I think the cable has broke because the lever is loose!How do you get to the lever end of the cable?

Having same problem have a 2013 pony.Belt broke changed it .blades wouldn't egaged .bought new pto cable and installed till blade doesn't engage .totally stumped on what to check next.the belt is the right I double checked it twice.

check belt routing and make sure cable pulls pulley at pivot point for tension to be applied to blade belt. check and make sure belt is correct mtd belt
