Belt Life?

How long do belts usually last on Timecutters? During the height of the season, I mow (mulch) about 0.25 - 0.5 acre of (thick) St. Aug grass 1 - 2 times a week. No heavy slopes on my land but I help some elderly neighbors occasionally and they have some slopes.

I would like to have a spare available in case I ever lose a belt. During the season I can't really afford to have my mower down for a long period of time. At least I have a push if I ever got desperate 😅

Thanks!

Belts can fail at anytime. Having a spare on hand is good especial if you are mowing for others.

I recommend replacing belts every three to five years, depending on use. Most of the commercial guys get them replaced every year. Having a spare is always a good idea, but remember if they are just hanging in the garage or shed they will dry out and not last their intended life.
