I have a 1999 345 when you turn on the key the barriery light comes on with the other lights but when you start the mower it stays on and stays on even after it's been started and after Iam done cutting my grass. could this be the rectifier-regulator ? r could this be from a loose wire ???
Simple answer to your question is Yes & yes...
You need to verify If you are in fact charging or Not with the engine running... If you are not charging and you continue using the electric clutch you will not only be paying for the charging system repair But ALSO replacing the PTO clutch...
Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running... Post back with the results... :smile:KennyV

kennyv what should the voltage be while the motor is running?
Upper 13 to lower 14volts.. depending what all is on using electricity ... From your reading You are Not charging at all, 12.6 is about what a full charged battery should show.
BTW that should be the Kawasaki FD611V engine in that year 345... :smile:KennyV
