Bare and brown spots

I have heard that the best remedy for brown and bare spots is to reseed your lawn. Ours looks healthy except for these spots and so I was wondering if there is any recommended time of the year to reseed?

All I know is that our brown spots may cover up for a small period of time, but then they reappear. Now that may be due to the dogs who tend to have favorite spots on the lawn.

During the wet growing season... (you have to keep new starts watered). Don't know what kind of seasons you have in your part of the world... But you want new seed to be a bit established before it has to endure dry spells.

Brown spots can be caused by various containments in the soil or by other physical or chemical impact ... KennyV
