My CV752 vertical command pro 27 hp will not start.Bought it at an auction second hand ran it last summer for about 4 hours and put it up in my shop.It cranks but will not start.Installed new battery spark plugs new fuel filter and air filter and new fuel pump.I have gas all the way to the carburetor.I drained the gas tanks of gas and put 91 octane gas none ethanol in it .The solenoid on the carburetor clicks and I pulled the solenoid off and verified the plunger operates by connecting 12 volts to the solenoid. Also checked the lines for plugs all ok. Sprayed starter fluid in the air intake and the mover will start for a few seconds. All linkage are connected.Next thing I May do is pull the carburetor.New ones cost around 500 dollars.would overhaul it if could find a kit.Any ideas out there would be be appreciated.
Sounds like old fuel has gummed up the carburettor. Remove carb. , dismantle, clean thouroughly with carby clean & compressed air. Check ALL jets/apertures are free from gum. Reassemble/fit & try again. Really suborn gum can often be dislodged by rodding with copper wire.
