Hi All. Trying to get the fuel pump working on this 16HP vacuum pulse pump, should we be able to read vacuum pressure from the valve cover port ? if so, how much. 2nd pump and have the same results, no fuel to carb.
make sure there is no fuel line obstruction between the tank and pump inlet, or between the pump outlet and carb bowl. Make sure the rubber vacuum stem cap removed prior to install and wasn't shoved up into the vacuum tube. Make sure the vacuum tube is not cracked or split.
Get a small bottle or container and start mower by pouring some gas down carb keep it running by trickling a little fuel at a time and that should get everything primed and running. This happens to both my golf cart and mower once in awhile. Not sure your gonna get any readings with a vacuum gauge, it’s a pretty weak system
