I have a John Deere LA115 with a B&S 18-1/2 HP OHV single. It has 70 hours and is 3 years old.
Last week it started burning oil. I pulled the cylinder head this morning. The bolts were all quite loose, obviously not torqued to 240 ft/lbs.
My head gasket was leaking between the bore and the push rod chamber. My advice is check the torque on your engines.
Assembling with new gaskets Manana.
